This face mask from Tony Moly is said to whiten and brighten the skin using tomato-extracted ingredients- as you can tell from the super cute packaging in the shape of a tomato! The little jar comes with 80g of a thick, white, product; similar in consistency and function to the Mario Badescu Whitening Mask, if you’ve tried that. It comes with a little spatula too for hygienic application. It’s an interesting concept for a face mask as it first requires massaging the product into the skin for 1 to 2 minutes, before leaving it on for 5 to 10 minutes and rinsing. The Tomatox mask claims to hydrate and plump the skin, and it certainly leaves my skin feeling immediately soft and clear. The whitening properties however will take longer to show, and they recommend using the mask 2-3 times a week to benefit from it. However I’m not sure how suitable it would be for very sensitive skin, as it can leave a slight tingly feeling when first applied. I’ve been using the product for several months, not so much because I need the whitening benefits but because it makes my skin feel soft and look generally brighter. Overall I think it’s really good value for money at about £6 a pot, and the packaging is so adorable!
