Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly Watery Cheek Blush

#2 – Peach Pink

As this has been my first post in a while (thanks, finals!) I thought I’d talk about one of my favourite new products from Korea. The Aqua Petit Jelly BB cream is a cult favourite, so I was curious to see if the blush would be as good. This is available in 5 different shades, and I chose a kind of coral-pink colour. It turns out it’s one of the prettiest and most natural-looking blushes I’ve ever tried. I hardly ever use liquid or cream blush, but I found this very easy to use. You only need a really tiny amount of product, just a few drops on the cheek and then it blends in perfectly- I just use my fingers, but you could use a sponge too if desired. As you might be able to see from the swatches below, it first comes out very bright, but it is simple to blend it out so almost immediately it looks sheer and natural. The finish is perfect too- it’s not matte but not super glowy either, though you could powder over the top if you were worried about it looking too shiny. It actually lasts a surprisingly long time too, if I apply this in the morning I can usually still see most of it in the afternoon, whereas most powder blushes fade on me after just a couple of hours. If you actually squeeze out enough product to be able to smell it, it has a surprisingly nice, fruity scent, but you can’t notice this normally! Overall this is a brilliant product, and great value for about £5 since I think the tube will last forever. Definitely one of my summer must-haves!
